Vacansoleil Presentation in Holland

Continental Pro team Vacansoleil, formerly P3Transfer-Batavus, made its presentation in Geertruidenberg, near Rotterdam, Holland. The 22-member team, racing on Batavus bicycles with Cole carbon wheels, was presented to the international media in the tranquil setting of an old castle. The team, already one of the strongest last year in Eroupe, added top riders such as former Tour de France green jersey winner Baden Cooke, spring classics specialist Bjorn Leukemans, and already participating in Eroupe and Australia, new team member Baden Cooke narrowly missed the stage win in the Tour Down Under's 2nd stage sprint finish. Meanwhile, Dutch rider Johnny Hoogerland took 5th place in the GP Cycliste La Marseillaise, the traditional season opener in Europe.
